Description
Under the Licensing Act 2003, anyone authorising the retail sale of alcohol must hold a Personal License. The Level 2 National Certificate for Personal License Holders (NCPLH) qualification enables successful delegates to apply for a Personal License. This course meticulously details social responsibilities and legal obligations of holding a Personal License and offers delegates detailed understanding of the current licensing laws and objectives.
Course Content
BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders covers the syllabus set by government to enable candidates to understand the law in relation to:
• Licensing Law
• Permitted Hours
• Young Persons Act
• Rights and Duties of Licensee
• Weights and Measures Act
• Social Responsibilities of the Licensee
Entry Requirements
This qualification is nationally recognised and is designed for anyone authorising the retail sale of alcohol in licensed premises including pubs and bars, hotels and restaurants, off-licences, supermarkets and convenience stores, sports and social clubs, nightclubs, entertainment establishments and any other venue or site where alcohol is sold.
The BIIAB expect all students to be competent in the English written and spoken word.
Method of Assessment
There will be a 40 minute multiple choice examination consisting of 40 questions. It is a course requirement to bring to the exam some form of official identification, preferably with a photograph eg passport. Your driving licence on its own is not sufficient.
