Jack was 22 years old when he enrolled at the College on a Level 3 Advanced Health & Social Care course, having tried other career options, he decided that this was the path he wanted.
“From day one the course fitted me down to the ground! I absolutely loved the work experience aspect to it, which I did at a special needs school. It allowed me to really get a feel for what my career will be like,” he said.
Jack is grateful for the transferable skills he developed whilst at College.
“I enjoyed developing skills that I knew would be useful in the workplace. I feel prepared to face real life situations and comfortable in working with vulnerable people.”
He is now studying Special Education Needs and Inclusion Studies at Canterbury Christchurch University.
“I would highly recommend the College to anyone who wants to go onto higher learning. The support they gave me whilst I studied there was first class and really, without it, I don't think I would be at university”.
