PLEASE NOTE THE 20.00 EXAM FEE IS PAYABLE DIRECTLY TO THE TUTOR ON THE DAY. CHEQUES SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO THE RYA, YOU WILL NEED TO BRING A PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPH.

Method of assessment:

Candidates will need to demonstrate practical skills using simulators, and answer a number of straightforward questions in a short written test.

At the end of this course you should be able to:

Operate any marine VHF radio including those with class D GMDSS controllers.

Materials, books and equipment needed:

Please bring a passport size photograph with your name on the back plus a cheque for 20 payable to the RYA.

Students may wish to consider other RYA courses.
