About the College

Equal Opportunities

BCoT is committed to the idea of equal opportunities for all. We fully accept and will promote the concepts of dignity and harmony at work and in vocational learning as required by UK and European Law. We are also totally opposed to any kind of harassment, bullying and direct or indirect discrimination.

Race Relations

The college will work towards the elimination of racism whether overt or covert and will seek to ensure that individuals and communities have equal access to learning programmes and facilities. The college aims to create a working and learning environment based on positive relations between members of different racial groups and free from racial discrimination, harassment or victimisation.

Disability Discrimination

The college wishes to ensure that it complies with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA Part 5). BCoT is therefore committed to ensuring that people with disabilities, including those with learning difficulties, are treated fairly. All reasonable adjustments to provision will be made to ensure that students and other people with disabilities are not substantially disadvantaged. If you have a disability please ensure that we know what you need so that we can make all reasonable adjustments to help you succeed.

Students with Physical Disabilities

The college will make arrangements, wherever possible, to accommodate students' physical disabilities by moving classes to ground floor locations, and purchasing or hiring specialist equipment to support individual students' needs.
