What do you particularly enjoy about the course?

“I find it very interesting and challenging. Having lived abroad, I found the European business unit of particular interest as it includes information on imports, exports and setting up distributors in other countries” said Guy. “I’m also pleased the course addresses topical issues and students are encouraged to read newspapers and watch the news to keep up with current affairs.”

Emma said “I enjoyed the Business Enterprise unit and was part of a group that set-up a wedding planning service which included arranging trading status, working out how much capital was needed, designing a web site and also providing appropriate marketing. We followed up with a balance sheet and profit and loss accounts for the company – great experience.”

How is the course organised?

“The teaching takes place over three days which leaves the rest of the week for research and course work. This has taught me to be organised and self motivated and has made me very independent and focused. It is ideal training for university” said Guy.

What are the lecturers like?

“The lecturers are really helpful and supportive and have lots of valuable business experience to pass on. They make learning fun and work hard to keep on top of market trends and policies. They are always around to give advice to help us with our university choices,” said Lauren.
