This course is aimed at 19+ learners, who perhaps don't have the traditional qualifications, but who want to study Computer Science (or similar) at University.
The course will run on four days a week from 9 – 3am (13 hours over 30
computer science element of the course will focus on Programming and Networking
as well as IT Systems support. This will give you a solid platform to
progress onto university to study a BSc in Computing or a HND (or equivalent)
The course will share common units, such as study skills and science, with other departments such as Access to Health and Applied Sciences.
You will need to hold at least one of GCSE in English or
Maths at grade C or above due to the intensity of the course.
You will be assessed through the completion of a range of assignments and projects; there are no formal exams for this course.
This course is designed to get you to University and is worth between 48 and 144 UCAS points (for September 2017 entry), depending on the grade you achieve.
