Course Overview

This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in brickwork to gain real practical experience supported by an industry recognised qualification.

The day-release delivery allows you to work whilst completing the course.

Course Content

  • Units covered on this course will include:
    • Health and Safety
    • Access equipment
    • Using a variety of hand tools and materials
    • Building solid walls, piers, cavity walls and chimneys
    • Masonry Structures
    • Working Drawings

    Entry Requirement

    You will be asked to an informal interview the course tutor before starting the course.  You will be expected to have a reasonable standard of English and maths in order to cope with the assessment requirements of this course; this can be discussed at interview.

    Assessment

    Your progress will be assessed through your practical work, alongside an online test at the end of each unit.

    Where does this course lead to

    Successful completion of this course will allow you to progress to a Level 3 in Brickwork if you wish.  It will also enhance your employment prospects.
