Course Overview

This course is ideal for progression from our Future Pathways course, building on the skills you have previously gained in preparation for work in professional catering kitchens, or for direct entry following GCSEs. 

Course Content

This course provides an introduction to the wider hospitality industry, including front of house skills.  Units covered will include:

Special Diets

Food and Drink Service

Developing Social Skills

Entry Requirement

You should have (or be predicted to achieve) at least 4 GCSEs at grade D or above, including English and maths (candidates without English and maths may be considered but will be expected to work towards these alongside the course).

 

Assessment

The course is continuously assessed through assignments and practical work.

Where does this course lead to

This course provide ideal progression to either a full time Level 3 course, an Apprenticeship in a related subject or other employment.
