BCOT's Plans
The existing College is already part of the community of Basingstoke and North Hampshire. The proposed campus is a chance to improve and extend the facilities the College offers to the wider community.
The new campus would have a modern, realistic ‘high street’ style hair and beauty training salon and training restaurant, which would give students a chance to practice their skills in reallife situations with real customers including the local community. This already happens at the existing College, but would be much more accessible to members of the public and in a more realistic environment. The College would also be able to provide better facilities for community use, such as the open area in the heart of the College, which could host exhibitions, concerts, and the College’s annual fashion shows and hair and beauty competition.
