Joy has lived in the Basingstoke area since 2005, having previously worked as a teacher in both the Philippines and Thailand.
She is an active member of the Basingstoke community and champion of diversity and inclusion causes, being a founder of the Basingstoke Filipino Community and former Board of Trustee member of Basingstoke Multicultural Forum.
She has also worked in social care and volunteered at The Citizen’s Advice Bureau, in addition to raising a family.
