With approximately just over 6000 students enrolled on a course at BCoT, we are always looking for opportunities for our students to gain an industry placement either voluntarily or in employment. We are happy to share vacancies and opportunities to our students, whether you are looking for industry placement, part-time employees, or an apprentice.
Industry Placement and part-time work
There is a regular demand from our students for part-time and seasonal work, for industry placement opportunities and for full-time work or apprenticeships when students finish their course.
Our learners undertake industry placement as part of their study programme and we are always looking for any employers who would be willing to offer placements for them. If this something that you or your company would be interested in doing, please email Anna Thorpe (Careers and industry Placement Team Leader), call 01256 306339 or complete this form.
Advertise an apprenticeship
If you are interested in recruiting an apprentice please contact our Business Development Team on 01256 306237. We will check our files and recommend suitable candidates for your consideration. If there are no suitable candidates held on file then we can assist by:
- Liaising with you to establish the type of person that you are looking for
- Advertising the vacancy free of charge on the National Apprenticeship Service vacancy website and across our social media channels:
- Screening any subsequent applicants to ensure they qualify for the Apprenticeship and match your criteria
- Provide you with a short list of suitable candidates
We will also access all government funding available to contribute towards cost of training. Grants of £1000 are also available for small employers (up to 50 employees) training a 16-18 year old apprentice.
