We offer a number of Higher Education courses for those students who are looking to take the next step after completing their Level 3 qualifications.
A Higher National Certificate (or HNC) is a full-time course that takes one year to complete for anybody who is looking to take the next step after completing a Level 3 diploma or Apprenticeship.
We offer a range of HNCs in Engineering.
A full-time Higher National Diploma (HND) is a work-related course that takes two years to complete. Equivalent to the first two years studying at university, a HND is one level above a HNC.
We are proud to offer a HND in Engineering.
Our Access courses have been designed specifically for mature students who have some vocational experience but do not have the relevant formal qualifications for entry to higher education. Upon completion you will be able to study a university degree in your chosen field.
If you want to study one of our Access courses but do not have the GCSE grades required, our Pre-Access (GCSE Pathway) course runs two days a week and will cover GCSE Maths, GCSE English and GCSE Biology. The course starts in September and runs for one academic year. You will also undertake study skills and academic writing lessons to help prepare you for the academic level expected on the Access courses.
