SafeGuard donates bullet-proof vest

Public Services students have been provided with a sample bulletproof vest from SafeGuard Clothing

Basingstoke College of Technology has been provided with a sample bulletproof vest from SafeGuard Clothing – an international manufacturer and distributor of body armour.

The vest was donated in order to give all Public Services students the opportunity to gain practical experience with professional bullet proof vests, preparing them for real life security scenarios.

First-hand experience of using this police, military and security level professional equipment will give our student’s practical experience with protective clothing that they can take into their careers upon graduating from our courses.

James Booty, Course Director for Public Services, said: “Thanks to SafeGuard Clothing for this generous donation of a bullet proof vest. We pride ourselves on offering the highest levels of practical experiences for our students. We want them to graduate from our college fully prepared for the working world”.

SafeGuard have operated internationally for over 10 years, providing over 5000 bespoke bullet proof vests to hundreds of police, security and military companies across the globe annually.

Thomas Bowman of SafeGuard clothing said: “Bullet proof vests such as this one save lives every day. All students should have accessibility to body armour in order to harbour practical experience with protective equipment”

Safeguard Clothing stock a wide variety of bullet and stab proof vests for both covert and overt usage. They remain a growing, trusted provider of protective clothing and are rapidly expanding.
