BCoT hosts biggest ever Apprenticeship event

More than 300 visitors attend Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair as part of NAW2018

On Monday 12 March, over 300 people visited Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) for our biggest ever Apprenticeship event. With over 40 employers in attendance, the event brought a wide range of employers together with BCoT students and members of the public looking for Apprenticeships.

Part of National Apprenticeship Week 2018, the event also saw three well-attended special presentations throughout the night in our Lecture Theatre.

Southampton Solent University gave a detailed insight into degree-level Apprenticeships, local business GDS Instruments provided top tips on how to secure an Apprenticeship, whilst current BCoT Apprentices gave visitors the real story of their experiences in an audience-led question and answer session.

Matt Roughton, Associate Director of GDS Instruments, said: “The event was well attended by a number of companies all enabling young people the opportunity to learn a skilled trade. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who organised a great event.”

For people looking to build successful careers, Apprenticeships present a perfect opportunity to learn the required advanced technical skills whilst earning a salary at the same time.

If you are interested in where an Apprenticeship could take you and missed the event, don’t miss our final Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair of 2018, on Monday 18 June.
