Following the success of its Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair in March, Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) is once again bringing together employers and those looking for job and training opportunities at a special Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair on Monday 18 June.
More than 30 employers with Apprenticeship vacancies including the NHS, John Lewis, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Virgin Media and Vodafone are set to exhibit at the event, giving visitors the opportunity to find out how Apprenticeships can give them a head start in the job market or get them higher up the ladder if they’re already in work.
The event, which runs from 4.30pm to 7pm at the college’s Worting Road campus in Basingstoke, aims to match talented and ambitious people with local Apprenticeship opportunities.
Lorraine Heath, Deputy Principal for Business and head of BCoT’s Apprenticeship Team, Aspiral Learning, said: “There has never been a better time to become an Apprentice, with thousands of opportunities both locally and nationally. Many employers are now supporting staff of all ages right up to degree level. This means that an Apprentice can start their career knowing they will gain all the skills and qualifications they need to succeed in industry without any debt at the end of their training.
“Our last recruitment fair in March proved to be very popular with over 330 visitors interested in Apprenticeships attending. For those looking to start an Apprenticeship in September, this is really their last opportunity to see a wide range of employers with vacancies all in one place”.
