BCoT climbs the national league table of further education colleges

College ranked in top 16% and joint best in Hampshire in FE Week league tables.

According to the latest league tables Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) is in the top 16% of all UK further education colleges offering advanced technical skills training. FE Week, a leading further education publication, announced the results of their annual league tables this week based on key criteria published by the Department of Education. These findings cement BCoT’s position as the top vocational college locally and joint best* in Hampshire.

A very proud Principal Anthony Bravo said: “To be named in the top 16% of further education colleges nationally, in this important league, is a huge accolade and a testament to the outstanding teaching and learning delivered every day in every lesson here at BCoT. Our thanks too, to the college’s many business and training partners and the invaluable contribution they make to securing our learners’ futures. Our success rates are an impressive measure of students’ outcomes and these league tables unequivocally demonstrate the effectiveness of what we achieve and more importantly show that both our learners and the employers we work with are incredibly satisfied with the service they receive.”

The FE Week annual league tables are based on the following criteria: learner satisfaction, employer satisfaction, 16-18 positive progression and adults into employment. In the 2018 league table, 183 colleges have been ranked and scored against these key performance indicators.

Anthony Bravo concludes: “We offer an exciting and rich curriculum for students embarking on their further education, through to adult learners looking to progress in their careers. BCoT is a vibrant and dynamic college here in the heart of Basingstoke with facilities which are second to none and it is wonderful to have our achievements and successes recognised at a national level.”
