BCoT held its first virtual open event of the academic year on Tuesday 13 October.
More than 35 different employers with apprenticeship vacancies are set to exhibit at Basingstoke College of Technology’s Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair on Monday 17 June from 4.30pm to 7pm.
Middlesex Aerospace, DCSL software, Red Mist Leisure and Exertis are just some of the employers who will be at the event which aims to give those in search of job and training opportunities the chance to find out how apprenticeships can give them a head start in the job market or get them higher up the ladder if they’re already in work.
It is the college’s second Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair this year and follows a successful event in March which attracted over 300 visitors.
Principal Anthony Bravo said: “Apprenticeships are a great way of gaining recognised qualifications, workplace experience and skills while earning a salary. If you’re interested in starting an apprenticeship in September but are yet to find an employer this is a perfect opportunity to see a wide range of employers with vacancies all in one place. There are lots of different apprenticeships on offer both locally and nationally with the employers attending the event offering everything from engineering and computing to automotive and construction apprenticeships”. BCoT’s apprenticeship team, Aspiral Learning, is one of the largest providers of apprenticeships in the region working with both large and small employers across a range of sectors. More than 60 different apprenticeships are available to people of all ages from Level 2 right up to degree level. This means apprentices can start their career knowing they will gain all the skills and qualifications they need to succeed in industry without being in debt at the end of their training.
