Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT) will be opening its doors for school leavers this week for more summer careers drop-in sessions on Thursday 22 August and Friday 23 August from 10am to 3pm. For anyone expecting GCSE results, help is at hand for those still deciding what to do next, that have changed their mind or have yet to apply.
Principal of BCoT Anthony Bravo said: “It’s really important that school leavers take control of their own future and make the right decision on the course they study and which college they go to. For anyone still unsure which path to take, we’re encouraging them to come and see us”.
“We’re open from 10am to 3pm this Thursday, GCSE results day, and on Friday 23 August. No appointment is necessary and you can just turn up. We’ll be offering careers advice, application support and more information on the options available to help those that have recently left secondary school make the right choice”.
There is still time to apply to start at BCoT this September. With a great range of full-time courses and over 60 different apprenticeships to choose from, students still have the opportunity to begin their advanced technical skills training to help them start their working career or the gain qualifications equivalent to A-levels to go to university.
More than 97% of BCoT students’ progress to university, employment or further study. This combined with the college’s outstanding facilities and expert, industry-specialist teaching all on offer in the heart of Basingstoke, means there really isn’t a reason to go anywhere else.
For those unable to attend the drop-in sessions this week, they can contact the college on 01256 306679 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
