Join us at our Higher Education and Adult Courses Evening.
At BCoT we want to inspire and support you to be the best that you can be inside and outside of the classroom. We aim to give you opportunities to help you get fully involved in student life, while also broadening your experience and developing key life skills.
You can take part in a variety of activities to enrich your College experience, from joining one of our Student Voice groups or clubs, to going on trips such as the annual Thorpe Park visit, as well as participating in fundraising and team building events. We continually invest in our campus and have two contemporary social areas where you can relax with friends. If you want to be more active, we also have a foosball table and table tennis!
All students are given the opportunity to participate in Student Voice (SV) activities. Each tutor group has student representatives that attend learner parliament, help organise social activities outside of the classroom and promote diversity throughout the College. We also have a Student Governor who works closely with both their peers and senior management to ensure that the Student Voice is heard, and that the students are at the centre of the College’s decision-making process.

We offer a range of extra curricular clubs so you can make friends outside of your course, learn new skills and take part in tournaments and championships.

Why not start your own club? For interest in starting a new club please contact Aaliyah.Bassey@bcot.ac.uk
Trips are a highlight of College life - our learners visited London, China, Belgium, New York and Alton Towers last year. You may have the opportunity to go on trips relating to your course, such as fashion shows for Art and Design, farms for Animal Management and Silverstone for Automotive Technologies. You will be asked to cover the costs of these but if you are aged 16-18 you will not be excluded from any visit which is essential to the course if you cannot afford it.
If there is a trip or educational visit that is essential to your course then you can apply for half of the cost from the Enrichment Fund.
We aspire to be:
Passionate - about providing education and training that brings opportunities and transforms lives High Performing - anything less than 100% success leaves room for improvement Innovative - by focussing on the promotion of sustainability and enterprise as we move forward Respectful - we value every person as an individual and embrace diversity in our community Inclusive - we provide opportunities for all and we welcome people of all abilities and backgrounds.
We believe it is essential to work in partnership with you to provide you with the best experience and create an atmosphere of mutual respect. Not only do we ask you to respect the College's codes of conduct - we recognise the importance of respecting your needs and expectations as well.
