In your first year you will cover a range of units including:
Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths, or a relevant Level 2 qualification.
Most of the course is continuously assessed through assignments, projects and case studies; there will be one unit assessed by examination.
You will develop a responsible and co-operative approach to working on your own and in groups. The course uses practical activities, presentations and involvement with local businesses wherever possible.
After this course, you can study Level 3 Extended Diploma in year 2, which will allow you to progress to university.
Employment opportunities include animal sector (kennels, catteries, pet shops, animal welfare organisations, animal collections etc) at supervisory or managerial levels based on ability and experience.
