Machine Knitting - In Detail

Part Time

Course Overview

Throughout this 20 hour course you will use our industry standard knitting machines to create a range of different products including wrist warmers and hats.

Course Content

You will explore different knitting techniques including using a double-bed machine to create ribbed patterns. You will also have the opportunity to create more decorative piece and patterns using our wide selection of punch cards to produce jacquard knits. Small classes will enable to make the most of your experience lecturer and develop your skills with confidence.

Entry Requirement

This course is suitable for students who have already mastered the basics in machine knitting, you can do this by applying for one of our shorter courses or mini-masterclasses.

Students are welcome to try other part time courses we offer. Should demand for other courses be sufficient we will look to provide the next level of course for this subject area.
