This course is suited to those who lead or manage a team or are aspiring to move on to such a role.
The course will take approximately 12 months to complete.
The Higher Apprenticeship provides the learner with a range of strategic administrative and management skills from budget management through to promoting innovation.
Learners will gain both practical both practical and theory qualifications.
Candidates must be employed in an office setting for at least 30 hours per week and should earn at least the minimum Apprenticeship salary p/hr. Suitable for those aged 19 or over in the first year of their Apprenticeship and applies to time working, plus time spent training that is part of the Apprenticeship.
Candidates are required to have at least a Level 2 prior attainment (5 GCSE’s Grades A-C or equivalent).
It is preferable that candidates have at least one years professional work experience.
The assessor will come to the workplace and assist the candidate in portfolio building, planning and observations.
Learners may progress onto leadership and management qualifications such as those offered by ILM, Foundation Degrees in areas such as Business, Management and Administration, Business and Management undergraduate programmes, a range of Business and Management Professional qualifications at Level 5 and above.
Higher apprentices can progress to roles including operations director, business development manager and in to a wider range of managerial roles.
