This 1 academic year course will enable candidates to obtain an Advanced Diploma in Accounting Level 3 qualification with.the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)
This qualification has a UCAS tariff of 56 for a Distinction achievement 48 for a Merit Achievement and 40 for a Pass Achievement..
This course will cover the following subjects:
Applicants will usually have completed the Level 2 Certificate in accounting or other appropriate qualification and need to have good basic numeracy and literacy skills. Students with vocational competence will be considered but may be required to take an entrance test. For students that did not complete Level 2 at BCoT an interview by phone or face to face with the Course Director Financial Programmes is required.
Completion of 4 individual computerised assessments is required for the AVBK/ FAPR /MMAC/ IDRX units along with a synoptic assessment that will assess the content of the AVBK/ FAPR /MMAC/ IDRX/ SDST & PETH unit standards. A Diploma for the level will be achieved by passing all individual unit assessments as well as the synoptic assessment.
Successful completion of the Advanced Diploma in Accounting Level 3 could lead to students being accepted onto the Professional Diploma in Accounting Level 4.
