Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Early Years Educator


Course Overview

This apprenticeship covers a range of childcare and educational subjects supporting apprentices who wish to work in early years and primary education, providing training to support the development of a highly qualified, well skilled workforce within the children and young people's sector.  Thus ensuring that children and young people accessing services in England gain the best possible care and support available.

This apprenticeship gives a fulfilling opportunity for the apprentice to work with children and young people while also gaining an understanding into the hows and whys of their development.  This Advanced Level Apprenticeship will help the apprentice develop their skill set and enjoy on the job training as either a nursery manager, crèche supervisor or supervising others in the early years childcare sector. 

Course Content

This apprenticeship consists of

Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Educator

L2 Award in Employment Responsibilities and Rights in HSC & Children & Young Person's Settings

Functional Skills level 2 maths

Functional Skills level 2 English

Functional Skills level 2 ICT

Entry Requirement

5 GCSE's grade A-C or equivalent including English and Maths or a level 2 Functional skills or above

You will be required to have a DBS clearance check.

Examination of case history

Product evidence

Witness testimony


All teaching, learning and assessment for the qualification will take place in the workplace, except you may be required to attend Maths and English classes at the college.
