Course Overview

The advanced apprenticeship in playwork is suitable for individuals who are already working in
the sector and who are looking to gain further qualifications and skills, or for organisations already involved in the sector looking to develop and upskill their staff to deliver a quality service to children
and young people.

The programme is for those individuals responsible for supervising a team in a playwork setting, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed, and that a range of playwork opportunities are provided.

Entry Requirement

  • Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths, or Level 2 Functional Skills or above.
  • You will need to be employed, or find employment in a relevant role.

Assessment

Assessment is conducted in the workplace and is on an on-going basis until the learner has proven their competence in all the required knowledge, skills and behaviours.
