Course Content

You will initially complete the Level 3 90 Credit in year 1 and then top-up in the second year to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in year 2. You can expect to cover the following units over both year:

Entry Requirement

5 GCSEs grades between 9 - 4 including English Language and Maths and GCSE Computer Science, which must be a grade 5 or above. GCSE Computer. Progressing learners will need to have achieved BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in ICT at Merit level or above and hold a Level 2 in both Maths and English.

Assessment

This courses is assessed by using a range of methods which include 1 paper examinations set by pearson, 3 controlled assessments set by pearson and a collection of portfolio coursework.

Where does this course lead to

This course is a recognised route into Higher Education. Students may progress to a HNC Certificate. Employment opportunities range from IT Technician, Network Administrator, Software Design and Development and Database Administrator.
