Course Overview

This programme will equip learners with the digital skills that will be useful to them in life and work contexts, including handling information, creating and editing digital content, and communicating using digital skills. Learners will also learn how to operate safely and responsibly online or when using digital devices, and how to solve common technical problems for themselves.

This course will equip learners with the essential digital skills needed to gain employment.

The course follows the Government's Essential Digital Skills framework.

Course Content

This programme will cover:
  • Creating and Editing Electronic Documents
  • IT Communication Fundamentals
  • Social Networking
  • Principles of Internet Safety

Entry Requirement

Access to a home laptop with a strong wifi connection or PC at your local Fedcap branch. A willingness to engage in all online sessions with your course tutor with a minimum of 95% attendance.

Assessment

The programme is assessed by workbooks, online quizzes and responses.
There is no exam assessment.
