BCoT has received two awards for helping to improve lives and excelling in barbering education.
What do you enjoy about working at BCoT?
Students gain a lot from seeing learners progress through the qualifications. I currently have a student completing their level 3 after starting at level 1.
I enjoy seeing the students progress and interacting with them to prepare them for industry. It gives me great pride when learners are employed from their work placements.
I currently have students studying with Norland Nannies and going off to University. The teaching team are all working for the best interests of the learners and we work together to ensure we meet their needs.
What was your previous industry experience?
I started here as a student at BCoT doing placements in all settings such as family home, nursery, additional needs and school. From there I went to University where I was a part-time Nanny.
After University I worked in nurseries in various roles including Early Years Practitioner, Room Leader, Deputy Manager and Manager Cover.
I left to work as an Assessor, assessing Early Years qualifications, then I began teaching Early Years as an evening course to adult learners.
