This apprenticeship combines two principal qualifications: Level 4 NVQ Extended Diploma in Engineering Leadership (delivered mostly in the workplace with tailorable units) and either the HNC in Manufacturing Engineering or HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (completed as day-release to college). The course is designed to enable your apprentices to become competent at Level 4 in the engineering pathway relevant to your business. The apprenticeship develops the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in one of the following engineering disciplines: mechanical, electrical, electronic or maintenance.
Your apprentice will benefit from excellent teaching and learning facilities and an industry experienced and qualified staff team. The technical, taught components of the course will enable your apprentice to develop in depth knowledge of relevant core units. The practical aspect of the course will help to develop your apprentice's application of knowledge and skills in your workplace. This is supported by expert assessors who will work with you to ensure the development of skills and knowledge is tailored to meet the requirements of your business.

Edexcel BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering OR Edexcel BTEC Level 4 HNC Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering OR
3. Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT
4. Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
5. Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS)
GCSE's in English, Maths and a science subject at grade C/4 or above and the completion of Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering.
The apprenticeship will suit job roles such as (dependant on chosen pathway): Manufacturing Senior Technician, Senior Production Technician, Senior Electronics Production Technician and Electronic Engineering Software/Hardware Senior Technician.
The Level 4 NVQ Extended Diploma is assessed by the candidate completing a portfolio of evidence gathered from workplace activities. The Level 4 Edexcel Diploma in Engineering is assessed through the completion of college assignments.
Progression to the Higher framework for Advanced Manufacturing (Mechanical - Level 6)
Employment as a technician in Electrical/Electronic engineering in a variety of job roles and functions.
