Focusing on the major disciplines within manufacturing/mechanical engineering, the learner will gain the knowledge and hand skills needed to develop or build on a successful career in engineering and advanced manufacturing. They are also vital components of an Intermediate and Advanced Engineering apprenticeship. This course is a mandatory part of the Engineering Technician standard.
This level is ideal if you're a school leaver with some engineering knowledge and experience, or you require some engineering skills in your role. You will develop your understanding and practical experience of specific engineering technologies.
This course can help you to progress in a wide range of engineering roles including:
4 GCSEs at grade D/3 or above preferably to include Maths, English and a Science. Learners must be employed in the Engineering sector.
During the course learners will undertake a series of practical based activities and create a portfolio of evidence. They will also be online exams to complete. The course is continuously assessed by assignments and the generation of a portfolio of evidence.
This course is for WBTC apprentices only and requires an enrolment code to enrol online.
