This functional, engaging one-year course is aimed at learners over 19 hoping to achieve a GCSE English Language qualification. The course will look at Non-fiction 19th Century texts alongside contemporary fiction texts. An exam will take place to evaluate learners' reading and writing skills
The course will be completed in one year. A variety of engaging texts will be used and then a set of two exams in the summer. A spoken language assessment will also form part of the qualification.
An initial assessment will be completed before enrolment.
