The Transition Programme is an exciting new study programme for 16-19, it will provide you with support in progressing onto and succeeding on your chosen T Level.
Also known as ‘Pre-T Level’, the Transition Programme will be for you if you are not yet ready to start a T Level but have the potential to progress onto one following a preparation programme.
The Transition Programme is one full academic year and may be right for you if you:
This course is designed for those who want to complete a T-Level in Construction, but do not yet meet the current entry requirements. This is an amazing opportunity to join a bespoke course that will help you prepare and develop the skills to progress onto a level three qualification.
You will be invited to interview with a member of the T Level in Construction team.
Assignments: Throughout the year you will complete several practical and theory assessments in your chosen pathway. You will also be set assignments on Microsoft Teams that you can complete in the time that you are allocated for remote learning.
Course Project: The course project that you will be working on throughout the year will require you meet several nationally set criteria. This is a theory-based project.
GCSE: The T Level Transition programme is for learners who have a grade 3 in GCSE Maths or/and English. Progression from the Transition course and onto the T-Level will require you to achieve at least grade 4 in these subjects.
We always want our learners to progress and achieve advanced level construction related qualifications. Towards the end of the year each learner has progression meetings with their lecturer to identify suitable opportunities. This could include:
T Level in Construction
Successfully completing the Transition course and achieving grades 4 in GCSE English and Maths is the gateway to studying our T Level Construction: Design, Surveying and Planning.
Completing the course could also lead to entry level employment in the construction sector or a construction trade. You may find an apprenticeship and return to College on an apprenticeship programme.
