This course will provide you with the foundation level skills to start working in the hairdressing industry.
You will learn about client consultation, how the industry works, how to shampoo and condition, styling, colouring, cutting and perming hair.
You will also have the option of learning reception duties or specialising in African hair.
You will need four GCSEs at grade D/3 or higher preferably to include English, Maths and a Science or successful completion of our Future Pathways course.
Learners will complete the learning on all practical and theory units and will have set graded summative assessment throughout the year with two external written exams, one in February and one in April.
The final graded synoptic practical assessment in June which will assess the learners ability to identify and use effectively in an integrated way an appropriate selection of skills, techniques, concepts, theories, and knowledge from a number of units from within the course.
