The VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Barbering Studies is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as employed and/or self-employed men's hairdressers. This qualification is based on the barbering National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK's leading barbering association (British Barbering Association - BBA) and hairdressing professional body (The Hairdressing Council) as being fit for purpose for preparing learners for a career as a junior men's hairdresser.
Entry onto this qualification can be via previous attainment of a Level 1 qualification in hairdressing/barbering and/or a successful skills test and interview.
This qualification is assessed and quality assured by centre staff. Work will be set to improve your practical skills, knowledge and understanding. For practical elements, you will be observed by your assessor. All your work must be collected in a portfolio of evidence and cross-referenced to requirements listed in this record of assessment book. Externally assessed question papers are completed electronically will be set and marked by VTCT.
