Level 2 Apprenticeship in Barbering
Apprenticeship
Course Overview
This apprenticeship combines day-release and workplace experience and will provide the necessary
skills for you to work as a competent barber.
You will learn under the specialist
direction of the Mike Taylor Barbering College
– one of the country’s leading barbers.
This apprenticeship in barbering is suitable if you are interested in cutting and styling the hair of men and boys. It is designed to develop the skills and knowledge required to work within the Barbering industry, for example use of materials, tools and techniques.
Course Content
You will learn about health and safety,
client consultation, how to shampoo and condition hair, cutting hair, cutting beards and facial hair
and colouring.
Entry Requirement
Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, preferably
to include English, maths and a science, or
completion of our Future Pathways course.
You will need to be employed, or
find employment, within the hair and
barbering sector.
