BCoT has received two awards for helping to improve lives and excelling in barbering education.
In association with Mike Taylor Education BCoT are proud to present a range of barbering courses hosted in our exciting new barbering salon and taught by Mike himself, the first person to be crowned a Master Barber in the UK and chairman of the British Barbering Association.
Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy, physiology and health & safety. They will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to advise and consult and provide a range of cutting and barbering services specifically for men's hair.
The course includes shaving and creating facial hair shapes. In parallel, learners will develop their communication and customer service skills, their awareness of environmental sustainability and their commercial skills, all of which are valued highly by employers. Problem solving and research skills will also be developed.
This qualification is based on the National Occupational Standards for barbering and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a junior barber. Learners must achieve all mandatory units which include:* Advise and consult with clients* Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp* Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work* Cut men's hair using basic techniques* Cut facial hair to shape using basic techniques* Dry and finish men's hair* Create basic outlines and detailing in hair.
