Within the Level 3 End of Life course, you will explore common questions and themes in end of life care and the range of possible approaches to end of life care. This qualification will provide you with information on how to support a person’s familial, spiritual, social and emotional needs and will prepare you to confront issues of death and grief within your role.
This qualification is intended for those who work in the health and social care sector and whose role includes caring for those who have a life-limiting illness.
This course is ideal if you wish to understand end of life care – you may want to access this qualification to progress onto further qualifications within health and social care, or you may desire to develop within your current job role within the sector.
This course consists of the following five mandatory units, all of which must be completed in order to achieve the qualification:
Unit 1: Understanding end of life care
Unit 2: Communication during end of life care
Unit 3: Assessment and care planning in end of life care
Unit 4: Person-centred approaches to end of life care
Unit 5: Care during the final hours of life and bereavement care
