I enjoy seeing students progress and interacting with them to prepare them for industry.

What do you enjoy about working at BCoT?

Students gain a lot from seeing learners progress through the qualifications. I currently have a student completing their level 3 after starting at level 1.

I enjoy seeing students’ progress and interacting with them to prepare them for industry. Gives me great pride when learners are employed from their work placements.

I currently have students studying with Norland Nannies and going off to University. The team that I work with – we are all working for the best interests of the learners and communicate to ensure we meet their needs.

What was your previous industry experience?

I started here as a student at BCoT doing placements in all settings such as family home, nursery, additional needs and school.

From here went to University where I Nannied Part-Time.

After University worked in nurseries in positions including Early Years Practitioner, Room Leader, Deputy Manager and Manager Cover.

Left Nurseries to work as an Assessor assessing Early Years Qualifications. Then I began teaching Early Years as evening courses to adult learners.
