This course covers a range of practical skills and underpinning knowledge that will help prepare the learner for a career in the Hospitality Industry.
You will receive instruction, guidance and encouragement to practise and develop the skills necessary to achieve the award. The course covers a wide range of subjects.
Planning and managing a large scale event, this major project will incorporate a number of units:
Students will achieve qualifications in Food Hygiene and Health and Safety.
Many students will join this course having completed a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject but direct entry (with 5 GCSEs at grade c or above) is also possible.
The course is continuously assessed through coursework assignments and practical tasks.
This course is a recognised route into Higher Education. Learners may progress to a Higher National Diploma or Degree courses. Students from similar Level 3 courses are now working in positions such as Head Chef and Chef de Partie at Lainston House Hotel, Operations Manager at Barcelo Group, Junior Food and Beverage Manager at Pennyhill Park Hotel, Conference and Banqueting Coordinator and a Head Chef in London's West End.
