Course Overview

This is a five day course working towards a Level 1 qualification in Customer Service. Learners will complete workbooks on customer service, team work, food safety and health & safety in a practical environment. The course will help prepare learners for a job in hospitality/customer service.

Course Content

This course is aimed at those who wish to work within customer service and hospitality.  You will achieve an accredited Level 1 Laser Extended Award in Learning, Employability and Progression (Customer Service and Hospitality). 

Topics covered:

  • Benefits of good customer service
  • Consequences of poor customer service
  • Positives first impressions
  • Verbal and non-verbal interactions with customers
  • How to deal with customer complaints
  • Basic food hygiene
  • Setting group and individual goals
  • Role and responsibilities within a team
  • Health & safety procedures/ requirements
  • Identifying and minimizing risks
