Harvey Routledge

Level 3 TV and Film Media

My tutors are all really nice people. They have a good range of skills and come with loads of industry experience.

Why did you choose to study at BCoT?

The chance to learn my course through hands-on activities seemed more relevant to studying Media than being in a classroom. I liked the idea of being assessed through coursework instead of exams. I attended an Open Evening and I was treated more like an adult than at other colleges.

Why did you choose your course in particular?

I was always interested in Film and TV so the course seemed perfect for me.

Do/did you have a career plan in mind before joining BCoT and has it changed?

I’ve always been interested in Media and I’m hoping to go into computer animation.

What do you like most about your course/apprenticeship? Any memorable moments/trips?

The trip to Longleat was definitely a highlight. It was a photography trip and it was really cool getting up close with some exotic animals.

What do you think of your tutor/the staff at BCoT?

My tutors are all really nice people. They have a good range of skills and come with loads of industry experience. They are really approachable and are always free to answer questions.

What would you say to anyone thinking of doing the same course as you?

If you have an interest in media production, the course has a good variety of units. At the end of the course you also have the chance to specialise in your favourite unit with the final major product.
