Why did you choose to study Media at BCoT?
When I had a look around, I liked the college and I knew that the way BTECs work would allow me to demonstrate my practical skills. All of this put together meant I was able to show my skills as part of a portfolio.
Do/did you have a career plan in mind before joining BCoT and has it changed?
My plan is get a career in cinematography. To do this, I am going to go to the University of Winchester and gain a bachelor’s degree in film to then progress into a career where my skills can be used.
What do you think of your tutor/the staff at BCoT?
The staff are very approachable and supportive, especially Scott Hayden who is one of the Media lecturers who really helped me progress straight from the Future Pathways course to Level 3 much faster.
What would you say to any Year 11 students who are thinking of doing the same course as you?
Don’t bunk off the course! Make friends with everyone and always pay attention to your lecturers.
