Our Level 3 Creative Media Production and Technology course is designed to provide all students with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to access and progress to degree-level study, apprenticeships and employment in the media sector.

It allows those who have an interest in media to develop a portfolio of work that enables progression into a range of higher education courses and training opportunities. The programme of study provides a strong foundation in many areas of media production and allows students to develop specialist practical audio, video, and interactive skills and directly link their learning to the career path they wish to follow.

Learners are led by industry-experienced lecturers and have opportunities to use recording studios to capture audio and record on location using a range of specialist equipment.

There are numerous projects allowing learners to film using Panasonic GH4’s to shoot in 4K and edit using the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software. There are also many opportunities to develop Digital marketing skills for a local film festival, practice photography skills on the Canon 750D in both location and studio projects, and also a chance to have a go with aerial cinematography using our DJI Mavic Pro drone.
