This course aims to make you an informed and prepared potential recruit for one of our many uniformed and public service organisations. It will prepare you to make a recruitment application or provide a basis if you want to go on and study at a higher level, or towards the entry qualification of a specific service.
It will provide you with an insight into the practical qualities you will require, not only for uniformed services, but also for employment in general.
The course covers a wide range of subjects including:

Physical Fitness for the Uniformed Services
Develop Team working and Problem solving Skill
Health and Safety in the Uniformed Services
Health and Hygiene in the Uniformed Services
Follow Service Routine
Exploring Equality and Diversity for the Uniformed Services
Undertake Adventurous Activities
Participate in Competitive Sports
Learners will have the opportunity to visit a variety of public services and will also gain knowledge of the industry from a wide range of speakers. To enhance employment opportunities the course may also have additional qualifications built into the programme.
You should have 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and Maths.
The course is continuously assessed with assignments, projects and case studies.Learners will develop a responsible and co-operative approach to working on your own and in groups, using practical activities and presentations.
This course is a recognised route into a Level 3 Extended Diploma course.Learners should aim for a merit or distinction grade at the end of the course to ensure progression.
