BCoT has received two awards for helping to improve lives and excelling in barbering education.
Why did you choose to study with BCoT at the end of Year 11?I always wanted to do Forensics. It was the only thing I wanted to do full-time. I didn’t want to do other A-Levels alongside it. It was the best college suited for me. I don’t like exams really and the Open Days showed me what it can offer.
Why did you choose your course in particular? I’ve always loved watching crime shows and just slowly got more and more interested in it. I had a look through the prospectus and came to a Taster Day and knew it was the right one for me.
What are you planning on doing after studying at BCoT? Employment/Apprenticeship/work etcI’m going to University of Winchester in September to study BA (Hons) in Forensic Studies.
What do you like most about your course/apprenticeship? Any memorable moments/trips/units?My favourite unit was crime psychology. It more revolved around finding reasons for why people commit crimes and I’d never done anything like that before.
What do you think of your teachers at BCoT?I love them! They’re really helpful – they literally help you with anything inside and outside of the lab. They helped me with my uni application and make life easier for you if you’re struggling. We went on trips to Bletchley Park and to a court room in Winchester.
What would you say to anyone thinking of doing the same course as you?I get to do my favourite subject every day. The lessons are more relaxed and you enjoy it so much more than school.
