Course Overview

Year one: Level 3 BTEC National Foundation Diploma in Sport Coaching and Development
Year two: Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport Coaching and Development

This two-year course is aimed at those heading for a career in the sport and exercise industry. You will develop the theoretical knowledge that underpins key practical skills so you gain the know-how as well as 
the how-to. This course has excellent links with the local community so you can practise your skills in real sport and exercise settings. The course is ideal if you would like to progress onto one of our part-time sports courses, or onto university level study.

Entry Requirement

  • Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths, or a relevant Level 2 qualification.
  • Other Level 3 pathways are available for students requiring to re-sit either GCSE English or maths. Please see page 20 for further information.
