The Level 2 qualification is ideal for those looking to begin working in the dog grooming industry and want to learn the skills needed to work under supervision in a dog grooming salon. The course will cover:

• Preparing and grooming dogs before bathing
• Bathing and cleaning dogs
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment 
• Controlling and restraining dogs
• Drying dogs and preparing their coats for styling
• Basic trimming 
• Maintaining cleanliness and biosecurity in the workplace

You will complete a portfolio of evidence throughout the course which consists of a balance of theory and practical assessment. Some directed learning is expected to take place at home. You will also need to complete one multiple-choice online test.
