Get your qualifications for university
If you’re planning a new career and need a degree to move forward, our Access courses could help you find the path to success. If you don’t already have the qualifications to get a place at university, our one-year Access courses will give you the introductory knowledge you need and help bring your academic skills up to the required level.
These one-year courses are an intensive but supportive route to gaining the academic skills and introductory knowledge needed for university. To enrol, you’ll need GCSE English and maths Grade C/4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2. If you only have English or Maths you can complete the other at the same time.
Our courses
This course has a strong emphasis on the skills required of workers in the health service and will provide you with the entry requirements to apply for a range of options at university. For example, Adult Nursing, Children Nursing, Mental Health and Learning disability Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work. The course also includes the first aider certificate.

This course provides learners with the knowledge and skills required to apply for a degree in all areas of Nursing, such as Adult, Children, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nursing. This can lead to a career working in the NHS, the private sector, the community, research, or education.
