General Data Protection Regulation

On the 25th May 2018 the EU General Data Protection Regulation came into force across the European Union. In the UK, this was implemented alongside the Data Protection Act 2018. Following the withdrawal of the UK from the EU on the 1st January 2021 this is now the UK General Data Protection Regulation, as defined in section 3(10) of the Data Protection Act 2018.

BCoT takes our commitment to the security and protection of personal data seriously. We always try to ensure that whatever information we collect and use is done so fairly and lawfully, is only for the stated purpose and is not kept any longer than necessary. We always aim to be open and transparent with our customers - whether they are students, employees, suppliers or employers.

This page contains resources about BCoT's compliance with the GDPR, and links can be found below. This page is being updated as and when we publish our updated policies.

For any queries, please contact our Data Protection Officer at gdpr@bcot.ac.uk.
