This course is completed over 24 months and learners are expected to complete both knowledge and competency elements.
You will be supported by an experienced assessor, gathering work-based evidence using an e-portfolio.
There are 23 mandatory units to be completed using a variety of assessment methods which includes a longitudinal study, which is an observational study over a period of time.
You should also have successfully completed a relevant Level 2 qualification in childcare and be employed in the sector with a DBS clearance check. A good standard of English and Maths will be required which will be tested using an initial assessment method.
This diploma is delivered in the workplace using
a variety of assessment methods collected throughout the course and include:
workplace observations, witness testimonies, professional discussion, oral and
written questions and work product evidence.
You can progress to a Level 4 Certificate for the Early Years Advanced Practitioner.
